McHugh Concrete Ltd is a leading, direct supplier of Ready-mix concrete and Boom and Static Line pumps in Sussex. They provide a modern concrete delivery service using volumetric mixers that supply concrete & screed when you want, where you want, and in whatever quantities you need.
McHugh needed to be more visible in online search, as their organic traffic was at a very low level despite being one of the most well regarded suppliers in the south. In addition, they needed to be seen ahead of the competition for key searches relating to ready mix concrete, in order to win valuable jobs and contracts, both domestic and commercial.

Search term research and on-site optimisation – In depth search term research enabled identification of popular local searches relating to ready mix concrete delivery and supply.
Onpage optimisation – We optimised all key pages of the site, introduced new pages where relevant and made any necessary copy tweaks, to better cater for search.
SEO Audit – We undertook a full technical site audit to improve search visibility and user experience, implementing the recommendations ourselves, as part of our full online service offering and expertise.
Website maintenance and support – We are responsible for site improvements within the existing site theme, ensuring page load speed and usability give the user a positive experience every time they visit McHugh’s site.
Digital marketing strategy, SEO and Content – An in-depth digital marketing strategy has ensured a consistent approach to online marketing efforts, enhancing search visibility and trust by catering for common user searches, with relevant, useful and informative content.
Link building – We ensure McHugh is consistently building links from key construction and concrete industry sites and organisations, coupled with wider directory optimisation, in order to perform well in local search.
Paid search
Google Ads restructure and management – We inherited paid search from a generic Yell campaign that McHugh has commissioned. CPCs (Cost per Click) were high and conversions almost non-existent).
We restructured the account and started afresh, with impressive results ensuring any search not captured by organic is now supported with Google Ads for key search terms, resulting in a significant uplift in search impressions share, lower CPCs and an increase in enquiries and relevant traffic to site. We also deliver transparent reporting, for clear visibility over return on investment and which keywords are driving traffic and enquiries.
