Nominate your unsung community hero

We’re looking for community heroes – the unsung people of Brighton and surrounding areas who are making a difference to people’s lives. Through their caring nature, kindness to those less fortunate, donating their time to offer a helping hand – your nominations will likely be those who wouldn’t want a fuss made of them. So we’re doing exactly that – to point the spotlight on their generosity.

We want to interview these community heroes, finding out what they do for the community and why they do it. We aim to inspire others into action through these stories, which will be published alongside a photo of the person on GOAT’s website.

In a year’s time, this will culminate in an informal award to reward kindness.

An online vote will take place, sharing the collection of stories. The unsung hero with the most votes will win a prize donated by local businesses from Brighton & Hove, to show them the appreciation they deserve.
